No. We don't publish content to audiences and we don't compete with our users. Licenceo is the secure layer between buying and selling content. Think of us as the exchange, not the platform.

Licenceo is operated by Sea Star Productions, a specialist vertical drama production company based in London.

Verification: every seller is identity and rights verified before they can list. Transparency: territories, terms, exclusivity and pricing are defined upfront, and every step of a deal is recorded. Speed: discovery, negotiation, contracting and payment happen in one place instead of months of correspondence.

Businesses that own the rights to their content, or are formally authorised to license it on the owner's behalf (for example, a distributor with a written mandate). Every seller goes through verification before their content can be listed.

Self-service: once verified, you upload your content, set your licensing parameters (territories, term, exclusivity, price) and manage offers yourself. Managed listing: our team lists and licenses your content on your behalf as your authorised representative. You choose the mode that suits you.

Before you can list, we verify who you are and that you hold (or are authorised to license) the rights to your content, including reviewing documentation where relevant. It's the foundation of the marketplace: buyers transact with confidence because every listing has a verified rights holder behind it. Verification typically requires company registration details, proof of authority and rights documentation.

Yes, that's the core of the product. Each licence is defined by territory, term, exclusivity and platform. You can license the same title non-exclusively to several buyers, or exclusively per territory, and keep the rest of the world available. The platform helps you avoid conflicting agreements.

Listing is free. Licenceo earns a commission on completed transactions, so we only make money when you do. Commission rates are set out in our Terms and your seller agreement. Optional value-added services (such as localisation) are priced separately.

Payments run through the platform. Funds may be held via a payment provider and released to you, net of commission and any agreed fees, once the deal conditions are met (for example, delivery confirmed). Payouts go to the verified account details you provide.

Yes, unless you've agreed to an exclusive representation arrangement with us. What you must not do is grant rights that conflict with licences already sold through the platform, or move a deal off-platform to avoid commission after connecting with a buyer here.

Our catalogue focuses on vertical drama: short-form, episodic, mobile-first series, rights-cleared and in many cases subtitled or dubbed and ready for distribution. Each listing states exactly what's included and what rights are available. Over time the catalogue will expand into further categories.

This is Licenceo's core promise. Every seller is verified before listing; every listing is backed by the seller's contractual warranty that the rights are theirs to license and that embedded rights are cleared; and every deal is documented. It removes the biggest risk in content licensing: not knowing who you're really dealing with.

Yes, where the seller offers exclusivity. Exclusive territory deals are one of the most common transaction types, and the licence records your exclusivity so it can't be double-sold.

Many titles come localisation-ready or already localised. Where they don't, localisation can be arranged as a value-added service. Ask us or check the listing details.

There's no fee to join or browse. You pay the licence fee agreed with the seller; Licenceo's commission is built into the transaction. Optional services (localisation, clearance support) are quoted separately.

Protection runs through the whole pipeline. Previews are protected screener copies, not master files. Delivered content may carry visible or invisible (forensic) marking. Deliveries are made through secure, access-controlled channels with a full audit trail. Unauthorised distribution breaches the platform terms and the licence, with contractual consequences.

Report it to hello@licenceo.com with enough detail to identify the content and your rights. We operate a notice-and-takedown process: we can remove or disable access pending review, and repeat infringers face suspension or termination.

Contact us first. Because deals are documented end to end, the listing, agreed terms, delivery and payments are all on the record, so most issues can be resolved quickly.

Our Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Licences agreed between sellers and buyers are recorded through the platform with clearly defined parameters, so both sides always know exactly what was agreed.

Generally no; the licence is between the seller and the buyer. Licenceo provides the marketplace, verification, facilitation and payment infrastructure. The exception is managed listings, where we act as the seller's authorised representative.

You can close your account at any time. Completed licences and obligations survive account closure; a licence you've sold or bought remains valid on its terms.
